Snow mold……just another rite of spring. March 11, 2010 Like many Pennsylvanians, I’ve been outside as much as possible this week, enjoying the first real bout of spring-like weather. While walking through State College neighborhoods, I can hear robins twittering, geese honking overhead, and finally see the snow melting away. As the snow recedes, many lawns are showing the scars of a tough winter…..gray and pink patches, and fuzzy mold-like growth.
